What is a cookie?

Some of these cookies are necessary for the website to function properly, others are instead useful to the visitor because they are able to memorize in a secure way, for example the username or the language settings. The advantage of having cookies installed on your PC is that you no longer have them need to fill in the same information each time you want to access a previously visited site. According to the provision of the Guarantor for the identification of simplified procedures for the information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies ( Published in the Official Gazette no.126 of 3 June 2014) cookies are divided into two macro-categories.

Technical cookies or cookies used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of a service of the information society explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide this service "(see Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies where used directly from the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

b. Profiling cookies designed to create user profiles and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing network. Due to the particular invasiveness that such devices may have in the private sphere of users, European and Italian legislation provides that the user must be adequately informed on the use of the same and thus express your valid consent. Our site uses technical cookies in order to optimize the performance of the website, or to save the user's session and for carry out other activities strictly necessary for the functioning of the same (for example in relation to the distribution of traffic), to save browsing preferences and optimize your experience navigation (these cookies include, for example, those to set the size of the selected characters). These cookies do not require the consent of the user who must also be informed of the their presence.
